Rebrand for a climbing gym in Berlin

Rebrand, Strategy & Photography

Challenge

Berta Block climbing gym was founded in 2012, since then the logo and brand’s visual identity has not been changed and updated.

Current brand identity misses the actual culture: the colourful holds, the community gathered below a route, the shared problem-solving that makes climbing different from every other sport you can join.

Solution

Rebrand built around the culture of climbing, not the category of fitness. Raw enough to feel real, balanced enough to welcome anyone curious to learn, joyful enough to reflect what actually happens when people climb together.

Shared Ascent

The ascent is yours, but it never happens in isolation.

The brand reflects climbing culture where knowledge, curiosity, and encouragement move upward collectively.

Logo explorations

To create textured accents I  used rock overlay +  color halftone + threshold + textures.

The rest of adjustment layers are for colour.

Disclaimer This is a student project created as part of the Shillington Graphic Design course. Goat's Haus is a speculative rebrand of Berta Block Berlin and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Berta Block. All photographs were taken by me at Bonobo Climbing & Vertical in Lithuania and is used for educational purposes only.
